After studying in Seville I fell in love with the culture and lifestyle, and I wanted a change from the cold weather and my office job
our story
After graduating from the University of Calgary in 2016 we both started working at our respective office jobs and felt stuck not knowing what we really wanted to do with our lives, but we knew we wanted more. There was always something telling us to move to Madrid after studying in Sevilla in University. In our minds we wanted to be able to do something creative for work, that was on our own terms while living in the city of our dreams, but we had no idea what that was at the time.
We decided to move to Madrid in September 2017 to teach English and figure it out from there. Fast forward almost 7 years and we’re brand and web designers, small business owners and residents of Spain. This whole experience hasn’t been easy but it’s taught us that the things you desire in life are 100% meant for you, or else you wouldn’t desire them. We want to inspire others to have the courage to go after their dreams and start living their best and most authentic lives.
The quote below from the book "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho has always resonated with us since first reading it in 2016. After reading this book we decided that we were all in on moving to Spain.
